(S11) - PT 5 - Surprising Outcomes

The Philadelphia Liberty's season did not end as the team would have wished, ultimately failing to make the playoffs but it was still a season of changes after years of mediocrity. An even record of 7-7 is nothing to be too disappointed about, especially with Philly's league-leading 313 points against.

The event I wish to talk about though is Philadelphia's week 6 game against the Baltimore Hawks. Even if the Hawks like to dig up results from a season where our team barely had any actives and they were already a force in the NSFL whenever this game is brought up, one can't deny that the result was absolutely shocking. I did mention our defense previously and it did not disappoint in thatgame either, allowing nothing until 5:08 in the second quarter. Our offense needs some work still but it showed what it will become in years to come by scoring 3 touchdowns and 3 field goals. It was probably one of the best games of my short NSFL career, even if I'm usually one to throw a bunch of interceptions. I was limited to one touchdown but I also threw zero interceptions, which is something to be happy about, especially against a team such as the Baltimore Hawks.
