One of the most surprising outcomes of the season this year came in Week 3 when the New Orleans Second Line traveled to Yellowknife to take on the Wraiths. Coming into the game, the Wraiths were 0-2 and the Second Line were 2-0. The Wraiths were entering a rebuild after losing several players to retirement and free agency after Season 10 while the Second Line were one of the league's top contenders and aiming to make their fourth consecutive championship appearance. The Second Line were heavily favored coming into the game. It started off as expected with the Second Line scoring three first quarter touchdowns to take a 21-7 lead into the second quarter. They extended their lead to 24-7, but the Wraiths answered back with a touchdown to cut the deficit to 24-14 before halftime. The Wraiths carried this momentum into the second half as they scored 10 unanswered points to tie the game at 24-24 entering the fourth quarter. The Wraiths took their first lead of the game with a touchdown on the first play of the fourth quarter. However, the Second Line answered with a touchdown on the following drive to tie it back up 31-31. But the Wraiths struck back immediately by returning the following kickoff for a touchdown to take a 38-31 lead. The Second Line never got another drive going as their next drive ended in an interception and the drive after that ended in a turnover on downs that put the Wraiths in position to kick a field goal that would give them a 41-31 lead, which would be the game's final score. While this game didn't ultimate impact either team's season overall, it was still an interesting upset and a surprising outcome.
