...bruh. The disrespect, smh.
Serie A isn't some second-rate league that people don't know, ffs. Roma, Lazio, Napoli... all getting plenty of love in the European media. Both Milan teams get plenty of love too despite sucking.
On that note, fuck Milan.
Fuck Inter merda.
Forza Juve!

Paid promotion is a thing here too. Kinda. Some levels don't have merit-based trans-tier movement, and you have to meet certain standards to get promoted. Effectively, if your club doesn't have enough revenue to support a good enough infrastructure, you don't get to move up a level. Sooo... yeah. Also paid. Just not as directly as buying franchise rights, I guess.
College soccer could still work in its current format tbf. Just affiliate colleges with pro clubs, they can work as feeder clubs or pseudo-academies.
The majority of people I know think playoffs kinda suck. How can you finish top of the league and not be champions? It doesn't make sense. It only makes sense when not everyone plays the same schedule (which itself is a bit silly; yeah yeah travel etc etc, but this isn't the fucking 1940s) making it not really "fair" to compare win-loss records between teams. Still seems counter-intuitive for non-Americans though, which I suspect is why so many people I know aren't fans of playoffs.
Honestly, though... I seriously believe MLS should just do it their way. Sure it's not European... but the USA is not Europe. It works for you guys. Embrace that shit. Being different is what makes it interesting.
