Note x6: You can link this to SHL to count as your PT for them. You can also link their PT here and it will count for one completed Ultimus Week Task
There will be some limitations as to when certain tasks can be completed. Here are each of the tasks listed below, and with special notes if any limitations apply.
Written Points
Robbed: Write about why a team that failed to make the playoffs should have over somebody else. Can be completed at any point
NONE OTHER THAN THE YELLOWKNIFE WRAITHS WERE ROBBED FROM THE PLAYOFFS SPOT. I AM NOT JUST SAYING THIS BECAUSE I AM A LOYAL USER AND LONGTIME PLAYER OF THE FRANCHISE BUT RATHER I HAVE THE FACTS AND FIGURES TO INDEED BACK UP SUCH A DAMNING CLAIM.
YELLOWKNIFE ONLY HAD UHH 4 WHOLE WINS ALL SEASON AND AMASSED A TOTAL OF 10 LOSSES BUT I TRULY BELIEVE THAT THEY COULD'VE WON ALL 14 GAMES WERE IT NOT FOR SUPERNATURAL OCCURRENCES OUTSIDE OF OUR CONTROL.
LISTEN WE ALL KNOW THAT YELLOWKNIFE IS A SPOOKY TEAM, ALMOST AS SPOOKY AS THE MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES BUT MAYBE EVEN SPOOKIER! YELLOWKNIFE SUFFERED THEIR WORST EVER REGULAR SEASON RECORD THIS YEAR DESPITE THEIR TEAM BEING BETTER THAN LAST YEARS ROSTER WHICH GOT A 8-6 RECORD.
YELLOWKNIFE (4-10) SCORED 336 POINTS WHILE THE LIBERTY (7-7) AND YETI (8-6) SCORED JUST 309 AND 422 POINTS. WE SHOULD'VE FINISHED THIRD IN THE CONFERENCE ATLEAST AND YOU NEVER KNOW, JUST 5 MORE WINS WOULD'VE MADE US HIT THE PLAYOFFS, MAYBE EVEN WIN THE CONFERENCE BUT I GUESS IT WAS JUST NOT MEANT TO BE.
BUT DO NOT WORRY KIDS, NEXT SEASON WE WILL TRY HARDER AND PROBABLY ONLY MISS THE PLAYOFFS BY 1 WIN, A MORAL VICTORY FOR EVERYBODY IN CANADA.
Going to Disneyland!:Who was the Ultimus MVP? Give us a rundown of their celebratory trip to Disneyland. (Can be completed after the Ultimus game)
Ah the Ultimus! I have won just one in my long career but today we are going to be looking at who was the S12 Ultimus MVP. It was of course the New Orleans Second Line who played the Baltimore Hawks. NOLA were 11-3 heading into the big game, Baltimore were 9-5. When it was all said and done NOLA ran out victors with a scoreline of 42-36. It was all decided by a single possession.
Now let's look at who the MVP was? Obviously, it was Borkimus Maximus III. Maximus threw for an impressive and rounded 400 yards, 4 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. He went 33/51 and posted a qb rating of 114.8. All around great stuff by Maximus as he added yet another ring to his collection.
Maximus III was no doubt the Ultimus MVP and pretty much carried NOLA to yet another Ultimus ring. Of course retiring Darren Smallwood played his part too rushing for 139 yards and 1 touchdown from 36 carries. A move which was criticised by some but this old dog proved just how effective he can be with nearly 4 yards a carry despite the mileage. Smallwood now retires with another ring, a dream come true ending to a fantastic and no doubt HOF career.
Sit-down with a star:Interview a player from a team that is not your own that is in the playoffs. You must ask them four questions and at least three must relate to the league in some way. YOU MUST POST THE QUESTIONS AND THEIR ANSWERS FOR CREDIT. (Can be completed at any point)
@Daybe
How did Ryan Applehort prepare for the Ultimus game? (For example, a change of diet or an attitude change?)
It was purely mental. I felt good about my mechanics, my body, and everything else in the game. It was the mental aspect that would be tough. I had to brush aside the common notion I was a choker, and stick to the gameplan.
Baltimore, unfortunately, couldn't run out winners this time, what went wrong? (As in collectively as a team, individually or even both)
I took too few risks. We missed out on a lot of opportunities because I played conservatively when I should’ve been looking down the field.
Just how proud are you of this Baltimore team? (compared to previous seasons etc)
I’m very proud. We battled adversity, shut out the competition, and we showed real toughness, mental and physical. We smashed Colorado in R1, a game I felt encapsulated the potential this team had.
In the offseason you moved on to the Yellowknife Wraiths, what prompted this move? (What spurred/caused your change of heart during the S12 offseason?)
I’ve always been open for changes. After a season in Baltimore, I wanted a new perspective, and my agency took on the GM job.
Sit-down with a fan:Answer questions for an interview from a player that is not your own. You must answer at least four questions and at least three must relate to the league in some way. Link to the interviewers PT to receive credit. NOTE: THEY MUST POST THE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS FOR YOU TO GET CREDIT. (Can be completed at any point)
