Dick moved to Yellowknife almost as soon as he was drafted. He took care of signing with the team early and within two weeks of being in the small city, he was looking at available homes. By the beginning of summer he'd made an offer and had it accepted. Dick's new house was a two story, three bedroom with an acre of land behind it and views of the nearby lake and woods. It was spacious and perfect for the rookie running back. Immediately he moved in and got together with a contractor to make some changes. A gym are with an enclosed heated pool and sauna were first on the list. Of course, there was only so much money in his contract so Dick took a little time to sign some fairly lucrative endorsement deals that exceed what the team was paying him right away.

A portion of the expansive backyard was being enclosed and turned into a heated firepit and lounge. The project had really only just gotten started in the week before the season started, but already Dick was enjoying his new home in his new city, and the heated pool that was a short walk from his bedroom.
