While Howard Miller is far from a top earner in the NSFL, priding himself on taking the minimum contracts available to help his team build a stronger roster elsewhere, he is nonetheless extremely well off. After his few couple of seasons in the league, he had everything he could possibly want: a brand-new car, a house for himself, countless clothes, accessories, games and gadgets, and enough money left over to pay his parents’ mortgage, give money to his former schools, and give some to charity.

But still, the money kept coming in. More of it accrued in Miller’s account than he knew what to do with, even if he tried to be reckless. He didn’t want to simply waste money, though, and so he sought out an avenue for him to sink his money into that would at least offer him some sort of happiness or enjoyment in return.

That’s when he turned to Warhammer 40K. The wildly popular fantasy figurine game has a steep barrier to entry, even for the richest people in the NSFL, let alone a normal person. What better way for Miller to spend his money – and quickly – and feel as though he’s getting something in return.

It just turns out that that something happens to be a badass Chaos Space Marine army.
