The Colorado Yeti have struggled to start the season. Currently they sit at 2-5. Part of the blame must go to the offense. Averaging just over 23 ppg, they could be doing much better. McCormick is 4th in the league in passing yards, but 7th in rating. He leads the league in interceptions. That could be blamed on the run game which is only 5 best in the league. The real problem lies in the defense which is allowing almost 40 points per game. The Yeti defense is young. The struggles were to be expected. However, no defense should be this bad!
Logan Lejune has taken advantage of the situation. He has 58 tackles through 7 games, well on pace for 100+. He also has 4 tackles for loss and a pick 6. These are rather empty stats on the league worst defense. They look nice though.
The Pythons expected regression after losing a star QB, RB, and WR. The superb defense lost multiple key pieces. They went undefeated in preseason. Thats not generally a good indicator of regular season success. In their first 4 games they went 2-2 with 2 close losses 1 to bot teams. The next 2 games included a blowout win against KC and a close victory vs TIJ. I'm not sure if the Pythons are actually good or not. We shall see.
