IT IS OUR TIME THIS (NEXT) YEAR - Can be completed anytime
Written: Write 200 words on your team and either why they should be looked at as Ultimus champions this season, or if your team has been eliminated, next year, or the year after for those non-believers.
Well, here we are, set to play the S13 Ultimus Championship, and the Otters would appear to be the presumptive favorites. Many people had all but written them off after San Jose tore through the league en route to a 12-2 regular season. Yet the Otters seemed to save their best performances for last, handing the Sabercats a crushing 31-21 upset in the ASFC Championship game. The Otters are now set to face off against the Colorado Yeti in Orange County, where the Otters posted a 7-0 record during the regular season and defeated the Yeti in week one. This Yeti team looks a bit different from the team that got off to a rough start to the season however, so the Otters have to be sure to not take them lightly. Still, Orange County look well positioned to win their 2nd straight championship and their 5th championship overall. Those who've paid attention shouldn't be too surprised, in the end. Orange County did lose Angus Winchester from their S12 Ultimus team while replacing him with Thorian Skarsgard, but otherwise kept their roster in tact. And, although some of those players are ever aging, the Otters were in prime position to end up here from the outset of Season 13. The real question will be whether or not they can maintain their success from here on.

Written: Write 200 words on one of the players in this year's Ultimus Week that are Season 10 or newer and spotlight on how they can affect this year's Ultimus. (Or have affected)
Thorian Skarsgard has stepped directly into the rather massive shoes left behind by Orange County Otters legend Angus Winchester. Although he had a modest season in terms of individual production, Skarsgard has been the driving force between a solid Otters front seven and will play a pivotal role in any success Orange County have in these playoffs. Skarsgard has shown versatility, playing at both defensive end and defensive tackle, and the Otters will likely need him to perform at both. His run stuffing abilities will be particularly relevant against the likes of San Jose while his pass rushing will be sorely needed against a quarterback like Micycle McCormick of Colorado. In the first round of the playoffs, Skarsgard put up an excellent performance, registering both a sack and a tackle for loss en route to an upset of San Jose. He played a very important role in the Otters' shutdown of San Jose's high powered rushing attack, holding Jerrod Canton to just 3.3 yards per carry. Skarsgard will now set his sights on pile-driving Colorado players into the turf as the Otters look to repeat as Ultimus champs. If Skarsgard can perform as well as he did in the first round of the playoffs, OCO should feel confident in the performance of their first year player.
