2) SPOTLIGHT ON THE YOUTH - Can be completed anytime

Stephen Harris Jr. had a huge impact on this year's Ultimini game. With 3 extra points made and 3 field goals in the game, he accounted for 12 of the Luchadores' 30 points, including the game-winning field goal in overtime. The only argument necessary for how crucial Harris Jr. was is to just look at the kicker on the other team. Crisco missed one field goal attempt this game and his team ended up losing by 3 in overtime. Had Crisco made that attempt, the Coyotes would be walking away with the W and the league championship. No front office can stress the importance of a kicker enough when it comes to this sport. Poor kicking play leads to points left on the field that shouldn't be. In addition to scoring field goals, Harris Jr. did a fine job on the punting front as well. He only punted for one touchback throughout the entire game. In addition, the only ball that was able to be returned ended up being returned for a loss by Anoa'i. The Coyotes special teams unit wasn't able to get anything going with Harris Jr. out there. Lastly, while two of Harris Jr.'s kickoffs did land in the end zone, the special teams was desperate enough to take them out to avoid the touchback. Having no kickoffs end in touchbacks throughout the entire game is quite impressive for a rookie kicker and it'll be exciting to see him hone his kicking ability even further while in the league. While kicker isn't the flashiest role on the field, Harris Jr. should've solidified his place as a vital part of the Luchadores for the near future.

The Ultimini game was...ugly. 13 penalties for 133 yards between both teams. While it's clear both teams needed better discipline, one takeaway is that the penalties did end up offsetting a bit (68 yards against the Luchadores vs 65 yards against the Coyotes). There were a few crucial moments where penalties shifted the game in an unforgivable way. After the Luchadores gave the Coyotes defense a beautiful 1st and 23 with a penalty on the first play, the Coyotes decided to give them those yards right back with a penalty for unnecessary roughness. Really? That brought the Luchadores offense right back to 1st and 10 and led them through their first scoring drive of the game. In addition, the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Verden at the end of the third quarter gave the Luchadores a fresh set of downs that the Coyotes couldn't afford to deal with. And that drive ended up in a field goal, costing the Coyotes even more points off of their own mistakes. One other notable accomplishment (?) is that there was only one turnover throughout the entire game even though both teams fumbled the ball. The rookie Poole has the sole takeaway in the game, which led to a Coyotes touchdown. Neither secondary proved deceptive enough to trick the quarterbacks into making fatal mistakes.
4) QUARTERBACK MATCHUP - Can be completed anytime
Written: Write 200 words on one of the QB matchups in this year's playoffs. What are you most excited to see (Or excited to have seen), who will play better (Or who played better), etc.
This game contained a contest between two rookie quarterbacks Havran and Jenkins. Honestly, it's hard to argue that Havran played even close to as well as Jenkins. Jenkins played the game of his career, with two touchdowns and no interceptions just to fall short of the league championship for his team. Havran made one crucial mistake in the third quarter, which led to an interception-caused touchdown drive for the Coyotes. If it wasn't for the difference in kicker play between the teams, we might've seen a different outcome from the Ultimini. Havran did have a higher completion percentage than Jenkins, but that could be explained by the average yardage per pass for each quarterback. Jenkins took more chances and, therefore, had fewer incompletions. If I were the Luchadores coming out of this game, I'd strongly consider looking at the quarterbacks in the new draft class. Don't ignore the fact that Havran did attempt 52 passes in this game, which is no small feat for a rookie quarterback. That shows endurance and grit even if he did complete just over half of them. Jenkins also had two big rushing attempts for 17 yards, showing that in the right system, he might be a versatile mobile quarterback threat. Havran lost 3 yards on his two attempts, so that doesn't seem to suit his style quite as well.
That Magic Moment: Pick one moment from a playoff game and describe what made it so amazing to watch. (Must be completed after the game you write about)
The magic moment is a very easy pick this year. Obviously, the game-winning field goal kick in overtime by a rookie kicker is the stuff of legends. Harris Jr. probably spent his whole life dreaming of an opportunity like this and we all got to witness it together. The game was on the line and his whole team was counting on him. All of his training up to and through college had prepared him for this moment. He had everything to lose, but also everything to gain. And across the sideline, he had witnessed the shame of a rookie missing a field goal in the big game. Would he end up like Crisco did? Or would he finish his first Ultimini with a perfect record and the game-winning play? 35 yards doesn't seem that difficult for a DSFL kicker, but it must've felt like miles to Harris Jr. in that moment. We've all seen our perfect playoff moments shattered by a whiffed kick or mistimed snap, but today will not be added to that infamous collection. Harris Jr. made the field goal and made his mark in DSFL history with the final 3 points for the Luchadores. He will live on in Luchadores' fans' hearts as the man who won Ultimini 2027.
