Jay Longhshaw is still a little bit rattled from the draft. Pick number 25. Four full rounds passing by before anyone called his name. To be fair, he declared for the draft without any game time throughout college – but doesn’t football pedigree count for something anymore? The upsetting draft outcome has spurred Jay on to actually take the preseason seriously, and he’s spending some serious time with the Norfolk trainers working on his throwing mechanics and breaking down game tape. If he was lacking any motivation before the draft, he certainly isn’t anymore. This season, Jay intends to make the five other DSFL GMs regret not picking him when they had the chance.
