Tommy Helanen is training like crazy; he lifts weights in the gym every morning, followed by some stretches to improve flexibility, a cardio routine that relies heavily on high intensity interval training, and then leg workouts to make sure his physique is perfect in all regards. He stays on a high protein diet primarily of lean meat and regularly drinks protein shakes to make sure his diet is also contributing to his physique; he stays away from junk food. In the afternoons, he heads to the field and runs drills, practicing plays. His coach gives him advice and throws passes to him some he can practice snaring footballs from the air.
