(S14) - PT 1 - Draft Day

My draft day was really interesting. A lot of the reason it was interesting, however, went back to before the draft day with how I was scouted.

Back in the S11 season, I was approached by 3 teams. Those teams were Arizona, Orange County, and Baltimore. With the second and third picks in the draft, I was fully expecting to be taken by Arizona. They expressed a lot of interest in me, needed a wide receiver for their QB Kevin Fitzpatrick, and I had ties with the same agency as King Bronko. However, on draft night, I was passed over by Arizona with the 2nd overall pick, and then the 3rd overall pick. I would not be a member of the Outlaws.

After that I got a call from the Baltimore GM. He gave me some reassuring news. On the phone, he told me that if I was available at 6th overall, I would be taken by the Hawks. This was certainly a reassuring prospect.

However, it never got to that point. With the 5th overall pick in the draft, Orange County selected me in the draft. It was definitely a big moment for me. Every season since then, I have won a championship with whatever team I was with.
