Lanzer Grievous doesn't have a very unusual "game-day ritual" compared to other people, but he definitely does have one. Every morning, on game day, he starts the day by calling his parents and thanking them for everything they have done for him. It may seem somewhat childish to many that he always has to talk to his parents before a game, but he knows that without them he would not be in the position he is in now. They have always supported him and the decisions that he makes throughout his life, even before he started playing football. Without them, he would have never had success.
Another thing that Lanzer does occasionally before a game is just sit down, by himself, in complete silence and kind of have his own meditation session. He doesn't do this to relax or anything like that. He does it to get hyped. He just thinks about the future and the endless possibilities that await him inside and outside of football. Lanzer realizes that his football career won't last forever, but he will try his hardest to make the best of every moment, because not every athlete gets the opportunity to play their sport at the professional level like he is.
