In a league like the NSFL, we are always looking to expand, to reach out to new markets and grow the league. Therefore, I’m proposing a new expansion team set in a not so friendly nation just miles of the coast of Florida. Let me introduce you to the next NSFL expansion franchise the Havana 59ers. The 59ers name denotes the year in which General Fidel Castro led a glorious communist revolution, damning his nation to third world status and destroying the relationship with their closest neighboring nation in the process.

The 59ers official team colors would be black, hot pink, and baby blue to give off that tropical magic city vibe. The logo would include an aggressive shark on it and a Shark will serve as the 59ers mascot as well. They’re planning to play their first season in Havana’s largest baseball park until some American investors can come in and build them a proper state of the art football stadium for S17. This expansion club will immediately open the league to new future expansion opportunities outside of the United States. The goal is to bring Cuban flair and passion to the game of football, and the owners of the expansion franchise want to see these aspects of their culture translate over to the football field.
