I'm seeing a lot of suggestions for the expansion team in the U.S. While those are okay, I guess, I have a suggestion that will take a little more work, but bear with me.
I give to you, the Transylvania Impalers.
Nestled in the beautiful countryside of Transylvania, Romania, the stadium would be built with the Dracula Castle in the background. We might have some trouble with building permits, and upset locals, but they could be easily swayed with some NSFL coin.
The stadium would be named Dracula Arena. The stadium would be designed to blend in to the country as well as possible, almost an expansion of the Dracula Castle itself. This could be accomplished with a lot of stone, dark colors, and a low profile stadium with an open roof. Maybe throw in a few gargoyles for good measure.
The color scheme would be black and blood red. The logo would be a halberd with thorny vines enveloping it.
The gift shop would sell foam halberds, wooden stakes, and helmets fashioned after Vlad the Impaler's own style.
All drinks served would have several drops of Red Dye 40 added. When spilled, as is common at these games, it would give a real bloody vibe to the spectators.
Now, I know what you are thinking. Flying to these games would be a bear. However, I think the appeal of this team/location would easily outweigh the inconvenience.
