Dean Jackson has been the Arizona Outlaws kicker for an entire decade now. Although Trey Willie got his start in the league two years sooner, Dean Jackson is actually four years older, and the Outlaws' most veteran player (in team specific terms). For this reason, despite him being a kicker and punter (a position that's far from flashy), the team has had poor success in recent years, so many fans have followed and reveled in Jackson's personal accolades, like position of the year awards. As a result, he's pretty recognizable in Phoenix. So what better place for Dean Jackson to make an appearance than Phoenix P.D, the serious but a little humorous but also has a deeper plot and some hecka real emotional moments cop show?
In Jackson's episode, he doesn't just make a cameo, but a full length guest starring. He plays a high end shoe store owner whose shop is robbed in an armed robbery, but the police soon realize the store is a (successful) front for a money laundering scheme as part of a criminal organization, and the shooting was conflict between gangs. As a result, Jackson is arrested and thrown in jail. Tough luck eh? Anyways, the real plot twist is that Jackson actually owns the store used in the show.
