Coming out of the DSFL, Johnny Snuggles had the world at his finger tips. He was the first overall pick in the draft and signed a fat contract worth $15 million over three seasons. But after two seasons over living a life full of luxury and excess in beautiful Yellowknife (capital of the Northern Territories), Johnny decided that that just wasn’t how he wanted to live anymore. He called up the recently hired co-GM and let him know that he would be rejecting the final year of his rookie and contract and signing… a pay cut? That’s right, he took a pay cut without anyone asking. Now, I know what you’re thinking, “What kind of mental defect is this man operating with?” Well, truth be told, he just didn’t know what to spend the money on. He set his family up with some nice homes, has a solid nest egg for the future kiddos, and built himself a snuggle room (get your mind out of the gutter, it’s a room with very plush carpet on both the floor and walls and filled with fuzzy blankets and pillows). Add to the fact that he’s been strictly living off of his endorsement money for the past year, and he just didn’t see the need. The team can use that money elsewhere on the path to making the Wraiths spooky again.
