Written Option: We all know NSFL players have plenty of downtime when they aren’t lifting, practicing, watching film, and playing. The best way to wind down is a good video game. Talk about your players favorite game or games to unwind with, or who they play with.
Sandy Bakshi has always taken his football very seriously, but unlike most pro football players that doesn't extend into video games. Sandy could care less for the latest Madden but has religiously followed the Final Fantasy series since he was a child with an original Playstation. He finds the games to be very detailed, demanding, and in-depth and would frequently berate his friends for making the "wrong" decisions or using suboptimal gear. As a child Sandy would spend many late nights with his best friend Tyler slogging through the lengthy and often confusing games. One would play while the other did homework, played music, smoke weed, or just sat around providing moral support. Sandy's nerdy side sometimes made him the butt of jokes on his high school football team, but his performance on the field pretty much shut up any would-be critics. Sandy's favorite game in the series is FF12, where he has the distinction of being one of a small percentage of players to defeat Yiazmat, an optional boss who takes over an hour of combat to beat.
His interest in very detailed and stats-focused games has expanded beyond Final Fantasy into other RPGs and even onto the football field, as he is a very calculating and precise player. For him though, it's not a hobby, it's just who he is as a person.
