So, crushing defeat, right? Well, you aren't wrong, it was but it doesn't mean that we have given up hope of winning again. Going into the next season, we still have an elite team on both sides of the ball and one of the more complete teams in the league. The corner spot and running back spot needs to be addressed at some point but so far we really have a shot to do big things. With our offense, we can throw a lot of running backs in and have them do great things in our Spread attack and with our "Large Lads" duo of Olsen and Wright being progressed even more, look for the Cats to utilize them in the offense more and more. Along with Flash becoming the number one guy and Ahri Esspeeyeeceetee coming up, the offense won't take much hit even after losing a perennial WR of the year candidate in Oles. Christ should be a top rated QB next year or at least top 2 or 3, and the defense is returning almost every piece. There are some small holes but free agency and the draft should help in terms of addressing those. The Cats will rise again! Meow!

I alluded to this a little bit in the previous topic but I can go in a little more depth here with the new season on the horizon. Running back is the biggest need right now on offense for the Cats as Orosz is a talented player but not developing much more, same with Davenport though the duo did great things last season in a tandem and so far look to continue that. Maybe a move is made or a draftee at the position but I would not say it is the biggest needfor the whole team, just on offense. The defense, however, loses some big pieces with Poopsie heading off to Chicago and Troyski hitting free agency along with some valuable pieces on defense that will likely be picked up in the expansion draft. With Troyski leaving and Castle unprotected, the corner position is THE biggest need of the Cats this off-season. Whether it be by draft or by free agency, it is the major spot that needs addressed. Luckily the slew of safeties on the roster can make up for it a little bit, but for now, the team needs more dedicated corner backs on the roster in order to keep their defense whole. Defensive line is another spot which could use a little bolstering but there is still talent there even if expansion nabs one or two of the guys.
