2. The Sabercats can win on the road pretty easily and here is why they can steal the game from Marquise Brown, Gambino, and the rest of the Baltimore Hawks. First off, they have a very good defense. Headed by the Pennington brothers, the Sabercats have a defense that may have a claim to being the best in the league. This will be crucial to stop the lethal rushing attack of the Hawks and force Gambino to make all of the right throws. They also have an elite quarterback in Christ and a great rushing attack with ORosz, Oles, and Davenport. All three of them scored in the last game and they could help penetrate through the Baltimore defense and steal a game on the road. It wouldn't be too shcoking if the Sabercats actually ended up winning this game because they were here last season and won themselves a ring. Now, I don't expect the sabercats to win this game because the Hawks are just as lethal on both sides of the ball and they also have the homefield advantage. I do, however, expect the Sabercats to put up a fight and have potential in the last quarter to end up winning the game.
3. I came into this season knowing absolutely nothing about quarterbacks in general in this legaue, but I have fallen in love with Childish Gambino at QB. I wanted him in my fantasy draft, but I was not allowed to take him because he was taken before I could (what idiot picked Ricky Adams so early). Gambino will undoubtedly tear up the playoffs, though, after one of the greatest regular season performances that the league has ever seen from the quarterback position. He led the league in passing yards, passing touchdowns, and had the fewest interceptions among the quarterbacks. His quarterback rating was over 100 for the season, proving how incredible he played the game. Gambino is not just a one season wonder, either. He has been doing this for a while now and is one of the best players the league has seen in a very long time. I think that he will end up being the playoff MVP because its what he is used to. Marquise Brown could challenge him with his brilliance, but Gambino is simply a one of a kind quarterback. We have not seen the kind of decision making as well as ability to sling the ball in a long time. He is a dynamic player I am excited to see.
7) Next year is the Arizona Outlaws' year. Last year we went 2-12 and had absolutely no hope moving forward. Both of the first round picks from the year prior were in the minor leagues still (Leighton Lee and Gekuyeme Stokeley). It looked like the team had no hopes and would have to rely on these players coming out as stud. Since then however, there has been a lot of good news. Here's the big thing, we absolutely killed the draft last season. We got Landers, Jammerson, and a bunch of other studs who are well on their ways to 1000 TPE careers. I know TPE doesn't mean everything, but if you max out you are likely to be an elite player and that just seems like statistical logic. This season we only finished two games out of the playoffs and some of us (me) hadn't even updated for most of the season. I think that we will be an elite level team very soon because we are young and are moving our stars towards stardom. We will also likely make a splash in free agency or through a trade this season, so I think that it set us up well for the future. If we get a bit more offensive firepower and defensive development, we are a shoe-in for the playoffs.
17) Robbed, yeah we were definitely robbed of the playoffs this past season. We got screwed when we realized the sim doesn't take into account team chemistry at all. It doesn't understand the fact that we not only have talent, but we have talent that works well as a unit and all strive to be better than before. I think the sim is a cool engine, but it doesn't take into account the dysfunctionality of some teams, whereas we are a team that has no issues with each other and love working together to get better. I also think the sim vastly underrated how good our defense was. We have a bunch of young players who elevated their game throughout the season and continued to get better, but the sim didn't necessarily take that into account. I also think the sim makes it hard to use a scat back. I'm not sure if that is actually factual, but I felt like Ricky Adams would have a much larger impact than he actually ended up having. I envisioned him as a healthy Chris Thompson, but that is hard to execute with this sim. Overall, I think a lot of things could have gone one way or the other and a lot just didn't go our way. SUch is life.
