My NSFL render is Irv Smith Jr and he currently represents Honda Edmond's likeness. I modeled Honda's game after Irv's as well. Irv Smith Jr isn't the biggest guy and may not be one of the elite tight end blocking prospects in the NFL. Coming out of Alabama in last year's NFL Draft, some scouts did have a first round grade on Irv, but his 2 years at Alabama worked against him. He wasn't a starter as a freshman and put up very pedestrian numbers as a sophomore. It was his junior year, much like I used as reference for Honda, that put him on a lot of teams radar. He's not a burner, but he has sure hands and works at his craft constantly. He made a few big catches in Alabama's national title loss against Clemson last year and showed his catching ability as well as his ability to fight after the catch for those tough YAC stats. When asked to block, he does so not being the biggest guy at 6'2", I embellished his height for Honda, but he does make up for it in strength. His true calling is as a possession tight end, but has a knack for finding holes in coverage and providing a sound outlet for his quarterback. Much like Honda, it is his work ethic and determination that set him apart.
