Hoo boy am I glad you asked this question because ol’ Dugan has quite a few suggestions of how to improve this league. More importantly the sim engine. First and foremost, Tijuana lost a game this season. Obviously, that shouldn’t have happened so the sim is clearly broken, please fix that issue as soon as possible. Now, more importantly, the penalty system has to be the most infuriating thing to watch. Penalties get assigned at random times to random players. Our quarterback has gotten both a too many men on the field penalty this season as well as an unnecessary roughness penalty. Maybe he was getting too aggressive, I can wrap my head around that, we’re a passionate bunch, but a too many men on the field penalty? He doesn’t even have a damn backup in the depth chart. I’ve seen running backs get holding and chop block penalties when they were the ones carrying the freakin’ ball. Our left tackle this season took a delay of game penalty. That’s not even possible. The only person who takes a delay of game penalty on a standard play is the quarterback. Secondly, how many times do people get tackled on the one-yard line instead of making it all the way into the end zone? It even happens on kick returns. It cannot possibly be that difficult to make a sim engine that has realistic (or even physically possible) penalties, as well as a realistic estimate of how often players get tackled on the one-yard line. Also maybe some kind of degree of consistency would be nice.
