Unlike a lot of players in the NSFL and DSFL Ennis came from a school that had never made the Top 25 in nearly 50 years. The University of Wyomings golden days we’re back in the 1950s where they made multiple great bowl games. In 2025 Ennis committed to his home states only NCAA Football Team as their first 5 Star Recruit. Such a commitment put Wyoming on the map for the first time since the Josh Allen days with the NFL. Ennis’s first game where he was really noticed was Week 4 @ #13th ranked Purdue where Ennis recorded 13 Tackles, 5 Sacks, and 1 Fumble recovery in the 23-13 win. Ennis continued to dominate his Freshman season where he made the NCAA All Freshman Team At DT#1. Throughout his Sophomore season he led the NCAA in sacks and one the NCAA’s version of Defense Player of The Year. In his Junior year they started out ranked #25 and were projected to easily win the Mountain West. Ennis’s final game would be his toughest against Ohio State in the Rose Bowl where Ennis would play his best with a Bowl record 6 sacks and 18 Tackles. Ennis would immediately declare for the DSFL draft after being invited to the league
