Going Boise State University was an absolutely fantastic time. Everyone brings up the Blue Turf, which they should. The Blue is a huge draw for recruiting, and it is still my favorite football field I have ever played on. Our locker room dynamic was incredible during my time. From pushing each other to take every step on the way to top of the stadium seats, to selecting who would carry out the team Hammer, or what the next touchdown celebration would be. This carried over from the football team to the other sports at Boise State too. There were a lot of game and event swapping between us and track & field or basketball or wrestling, we would attend their games and they would attend ours. There were definitely a few wins that I attribute to our fellow student athletes being in the student section encouraging the crowd to cheer us on and support us to victory. The hardest win was against Nevada in a quadruple overtime. We felt like this game was never going to end, except we could hear the crowd staying with us. Boy did that win feel great. I finished that game with 8 tackles, a sack and an interception, normally that’d win a guy a player of the game award, but at the end of the night every one of us contributed so much into that win we decided to share it. Go Orange Go Big Blue, Fight Fight, BSU!!!
