You know, back in high school I played on both sides of the ball. I was a linebacker on the defensive side just like I am today in the NSFL. On the offensive side of the ball I was actually a running back. Definitely not on the level of our amazing rookie of the year candidate running back Sam Torenson, but I definitely had some skill. I was more of a power rusher. I went through people instead of around them. Because of that I would definitely want to try my hand at being a running back again. I know I've lost a little of the speed I once had back in high school just due to focusing on being a linebacker. It turns out that bulking up in order to lay down some disgustingly hard hits causes you to lose that top speed you once had. It seems obvious but I never even considered it. I definitely wouldn't be as prolific as Torenson, but I do feel like I could hold my own. Even if I were just to step into the running back position right this second I could rack up a few 100 yards games with some hard nosed smashmouth down your throat running style football. Our team back in high school controlled the clock through me in the run game, and I definitely could still keep an offense afloat with the same style.
