CHOOSE 4 TASKS, EACH WILL BE REWARDED 2.5 TPE FOR COMPLETION FOR A MAXIMUM OF 10 TPE
Rules:
1) Written tasks must be at least 200 words (No exceptions and no partial credit, not that hard to get to 200 words).
1) Playoff Predictions, Reviews:
Philadelphia Liberty - Arizona Outlaws - S16 Ultimus.
Well to preface this, isnt it actually insane that somehow two 7-6 teams made their way into the Ultimus Bowl. Philly having the third best record in the NSFC and the Arizona Outlaws having the joint second best record in the ASFC.
Now onto the game, both teams started out relatively slow. A Seer rushing touchdown (yes I'm not even going to attempt to try and type out that surname) was then cancelled out by a Farley Hank run found it's way into the endzone. Perhaps even more remarkably, both kickers managed to hit their extra points.
When we moved into the second quarter, Arizona began to run away with it. Andrew Reese was in fine form, so too was their star wide receiver, Jeffrey Murphy. Two touchdowns in 3 minutes from the dynamic duo put the Outlaws firmly ahead. Two field goals by Kyle Frost and one by Arizona's Spencer Lawes meant AZ still held a 24-13 lead into the second half.
Philly had a fight back in the third quarter when the ever present Falconi found an unmarked Vander Jones in the endzone for 6 followed by the extra point. Both teams would then take a field goal each, hit it and enter the 4th with AZ leading by a mere 4 points.
D'Attoria picked off Reese early in the quarter to bring the Philly the lead for the first time in the game but Jeffrey Murphy clutched, snagging another touchdown pass to give AZ the dub.
3) All about the QBs
Of course as I mentioned in the task before, the S16 Ultimus was a hotly contested game between the Arizona Outlaws and the Philadelphia Liberty. The Philadelphia Liberty are of course headed by their enigmatic leader Adriana Falconi. On the opposite side, defensive tackled turned elite ballslinger Andrew Reese leads the boys in red.
Who performed better? Well really they both had two completely different situations because Philly had no rushing game to speak of, literally none whereas the Outlaws rushed for nearly 230 yards between the two running backs involved. So if you look at this contextually wise, Falconi had to make up for lost ground, none of it lost by her of course.
Reese also had the advantage of Jeffrey Murphy showing up big and snagging 3 (all) of Reese's touchdown passes in the endzone.
In the end Falconi was a mere 20/38 for 236 yards and 1 touchdown and acted largely as a game manager. On the other hand Reese acted as a pure gunslinger, making shots he didn't have to take at all. 26/43 for 256 yards, 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. So I ask of you, who had a better game? Falconi, no doubt. But at the end of the day who had a better night after? Reese because he came out of that game as an Ultimus champion.
6) Our Time
Written: Why should your team be looked at the favorite to win the Ultimus or Ultimini this season.
Graphics: Show with a graphic why your team is/was the best team.
Why is my team looked at to be the favorite to win the Ultimus this season? Because we're easily one of the strongest teams that this league has ever seen. We utterly dominated the league from top to bottom this year, finishing easily atop the pack with an incredible 13 wins from our franchise opening 13 games. Austin absolutely railroaded the league this season and the great smashings began even as early as the preseason when we yeeted the Liberty 30-20, OCO 47-13, Colorado 22-20 and then the incredibly pathetic Baltimore Hawks 69 (nice) to 0. We absolutely hosed down the competition.
Austin then continued their absolute fucking pillaging of the NSFL by squatting on NOLA 24-17, Austin assaulted the pathetic Outlaws 13-3 before easily dispatching the Orange County Otters 52-10 in what was nothing more than a formality.
Now you're wondering, how can any team possibly dare to even contest the Austin Powerhouses? Short answer, they can't. Long answer, they can't still because we're like the S1-S3 Outlaws & S4 - S6 Otters combined into one superteam.
Now I bet you're wondering, what the fuck am I on about? The Austin Copperheads suck and couldn't even muster up a single win this season, pre or regular, dont joke about the post. But you never specified that it HAD to be playoff teams and I don't know any of the teams in the playoffs all that much to answer tbh. A man can dream though, dreaming of winning the Ultimus with Austin of course.
7) Next year
Written: If your team has been eliminated, why will the next year, or the year after that, be the year that your team is going to win the Ultimus or Ultimini.
Graphics: Create a statistical summary of what improvements your team has made from the previous year or why your team was better than their record.
The Austin Copperheads will win the S17 Ultimus title. Why ? Because we're going to be an absolute powerhouse next season, spinning our lowly 0 wins into 13. This will, and book it be the single greatest turnaround in NSFL or DSFL history. We won't be fucking around with a 10 season rebuild like the Colorado Yeti.
Why should you believe me when I say we're going to win next years Ultimus? Easy, I'll lay it out.
- We have our franchise cornerstone in Easton Cole at the QB Role. Solidity. Backing him up is the fucking incredible Zobot JugsMachine3 who's a more complete backup than Blaine Gabbert.
- We have the stud Mako Mendonca who's primed for a studly year and depending on how the draft goes, we can explore options here and in other positions.
- Beaver-Dantes looks ready to finally lead the charge of offensive linemen through the league by recreating the infamous Luchadore'an wall that caused so much destruction in the DSFL.
- Larson looks set for a breakout year here. A couple of FA moves and drat dependant, this position looks nice.
- Hardwick and Tidwell have showed an incredible amount of growth this season and we believed are poised for a dominating season from the WR corps next season.
- Add in the fact that we've got a monster defensive unit and I'm over 200 words, Austin will win the S17 Ultimus baby. Believe it!
