There's always a major decision that comes around every year during Halloween and that decision is whether you want to dress up as something scary, something realistic or something funny. Well this year Mervin Leonard decided he was going to dress up as the funniest thing he could think of - a Wide Receiver. We all know that wide receivers are the biggest divas and the biggest whiners around - especially when they have to face the Yellowknife Wraiths! The costume will consist of a tootoo, bricks for hands, a tiara, a kleenex box (since wide receivers are always crying) and a football helmet.
Merv is looking forward to revealing his costume at the Wraiths Halloween party on Thursday night.. hopefully his GM and good friend Nate Swift (who happens to be a wide receiver) doesn't take too much offence to the costume. If things go sideways and Merv gets kicked out of the party for offending his offensive teammates Merv plans on going trick or treating which will be way more fun anyway. If that's the case Merv may be calling in sick on Friday due to a terrible stomach ache from eating too many full sized candy bars since that is all the people of Yellowknife hand out!
