4) Resim!
Written: You get to resim one game from this season. Write about why you chose that game and what the results would be.
There's probably better games I could choose for this, but the first one that came to my mind was definitely week 11, at home against the Arizona Outlaws. Although nothing is ever guaranteed, especially with the sim, this game was essentially as close as you can get to being a sure thing win for the Otters. We had almost a 90% chance of winning this game in our tests, but we lost in the end, in a low scoring game. I still have no idea how this happened, and I still can't believe that it actually did happened. If we win this game, we're looking at home field advantage against the Wraiths in the Ultimus. Now, we're on the road in a repeat matchup of last season's championship. The difference between home and road games in this season is drastic, in terms of win percentage and actual chance of winning. For some reason, the road team always seem to have the advantage in matchups between the Otters and Outlaws. If we had a resim, I would love to have seen a blowout. I wanted to see our defense dominate, like they have all season, and Armstrong to add to his MVP resume. There's nothing we can do about it now though; it's in the past.
5) Offseason Needs
Written: Write about what positions your team needs to address in the offseason for it to be successful. (NOTE - Please do not mention actual players under contract. Tampering exists)
Although the Otters defense has been insane this season, I definitely think there's still some positions that need some work to make it even better for next season. Our offense wasn't as great as we thought it would be, but they got the job done, even in big games, and all of our offensive positions, except for offensive line, already has great players to fill the needs. So, it would be hard to justify going for any offensive position other than maybe tight end, because Blaze is aging, and we need to find a replacement for him eventually. On defense, the biggest need would most likely be defensive line. Our defense has been fantastic, but our run defense is the one yardage category we didn't lead the league in this season, and it could definitely use some work. Also, I don't think it's really a need, but drafting a safety wouldn't really hurt either. Safeties are one of the most versatile positions on defense, and we could always find a place for someone on our defense. Honestly though, I'm really happy with the team that our GM's have put together for us, and I wouldn't even be the least bit upset if we traded away draft capital for the future, because we don't necessarily have any pressing needs that we couldn't potentially fill through free agency.
