1. The Second Line made the playoffs for the first time in a long time and we highly anticipated our home game against the Copperheads. The game however, did not start out how we hoped as Austin quickly scored twice in the first quarter and we were down 14 to 0 early on. With only a field goal added in the 2nd the deficit at half time was 14 to 3 and we were starting to get worried. Thankfully, the old and young stepped up in the 2nd half as rookie Austin McCormick caught a touchdown and veteran Vladimir Fyodorovich caught two fourth quarter touchdowns. Also, Forrest Gump and Marcella Toriki stepped it up in the rushing attack combining for over 200 yards on the ground and Gump also added a score of his own. The defense helped out by only allowing 3 points in the 2nd half including an interception by yours truly. The real defensive star in this game was Slothface as he had 3 sacks in this game. 3 sacks in one game is just dominant. Slothface was all over the field and was a big reason we only gave up 3 points after the first quarter. The Second Line won and got a chance to play the Otters in the conference finals.
3. I want revenge on the Orange County Otters and I want it now! Those pesky Otters have our number and it is so frustrating. We did finally beat them for the first time since I joined the team when we played in New Orleans this season, but they got their revenge on us in the ultimate way by beating us to get to another Ultimus championship. This loss while disheartening will be used to fuel the rage we have as we train our asses off during the offseason to do what hasn’t been done in many seasons and be the ASFC team playing in the Ultimus instead of the Otters. We saw major progress this year as we fought the Otters hard both in New Orleans and in Orange County, and that gives me hope that we are rapidly approaching our ultimate goal. We have a large amount of young studs on the roster that continue to improve every season. We may even surpass the Otters in total TPE soon, but that might just be wishful thinking. The one thing I do know is that we will not rest until we have utterly destroyed the Otters to the point where they can finally know what it feels like to not be in the playoffs as I’m not sure when the last time they weren’t in the playoffs is. The ultimate revenge would be to beat them so bad it takes them years to get back to the playoffs.
7. Let me tell you a story about a massive hulk of a man that just wants to sack the quarterback and hit running backs in the backfield. My friends name is Bjorn Ironside and he is notorious for racking up penalties on a weekly basis. Bjorn’s specialty when it comes to penalties are of the 15 yard variety. Sometimes he gets too passionate and hits the quarterback late. If you don’t know Bjorn you might need some background. Bjorn is one of the strongest men in the world. He is massive and has muscles on his muscles. What he has in strength he lacks in intelligence. See, Bjorn didn’t go through a normal education as he was raised by bears, hence his great friendship with Second Line defensive star Quenton Bode. While Bjorn grew up he didn’t properly develop the cognitive abilities that most other humans do and therefore Bjorn when he did finally become a part of human society has a hard time learning how to not commit penalties because his first football coaches just taught him to see ball and to hit as hard as he could. We are slowly attempting to teach Bjorn how to avoid these costly penalties, but it is taking lots of time as he has already destroyed 17 teachers desks and vehicles in frustration.
9. This prompt is called brotherly love, but in this case I’m going to talk about a teammate of mine that is basically my sister. We came into the league at the same time and were both drafted by the now defunct Norfolk Seawolves. While I play defense and she plays offense we both play with the same jersey number. After we got drafted to seperate teams to start our careers we were reunited this past offseason and I hope I never have to play another game without her on my team. If you don’t know who I’m talking about at this point it’s future running back hall of famer Marcella Toriki also known as Bex. What you might not know about Bex is that she is one of the most passionate and hardest working people in the league. She brings an instant spark to any locker room she is a part of and increases the morale tenfold. Look at what happened in New Orleans since she arrived, we made the freaking playoffs for the first time in forever and won a playoff game! I couldn’t be happier to be her teammate and hope that we can be a part of bringing the Ultimus back to New Orleans in the near future.
