Task 1:
Ultimus Championship: Yellowknife Wraiths vs. Orange County Otters
The two best teams in the NSFL will face off for the Ultimus Trophy, and fittingly so. They were the best teams this season with identical 9-4 records. The Otters did it with a stellar defense and a high octane offense. The Wraiths had to really rely on their offense to out-score their opponents. The Otters defense ranked first in every category and that's the reason why I'm going with them in this game. Defense always seems to be the tipping point, especially in the playoffs, and I think their defense coupled with an offense that can match Yellowknife's, this is Orange County's game to lose. The saving grace for Yellowknife could be home field advantage, and they did beat the Otters at home this season, but I think now that the Otters defense has seen this team, they will make the proper adjustments. Orange County wins 27-17.
Ultimini Championship: Tijuana Luchadores vs. Minnesota Grey Ducks
This is Tijuana's game to lose, once again. They beat the second best team in the DSFL, Myrtle Beach, in the SFC Championship and carry home field advantage in the final game. They have a balanced attack, playing well on both sides of the ball. Minnesota had a good season, but I don't think they have the offense to keep up with Tijuana. In the two match-ups in the regular season, Tijuana went 2-0 with a combined score of 50-12. Tijuana wins 27-7.

Task 2:
Lucky for the NSFL, this year's Championship games fall right into the Christmas season. What better way to finish off a season than with the snowy back drop of Christmas and New Years. It's a clean finish to the year with the season ending and also a great to start to a new decade with Season 20 starting up.
For the Championship games, the NSFL has decided to spruce up the presentation of the games to match the holiday season. At half time of each game, they are going to wheel out a make shift ice rink and put on a figure skating Christmas presentation. On the sidelines, they are going to have snow sculptures built to decorate around the field. For the official coin toss, they are going to get Santa Claus himself to flip the coin.
For the fans in attendance, they are going to have tons of giveaways and contests to enter to win NSFL memorabilia. Outside the staidum, they are going to have winter activities for kids along with hot chocolate. For the adults, they are going to have spiked egg nog.
The NSFL is really going all in on a winter wonderland vibe for this year's Championship games and I think it's going to be a real hit for the fans and even the players playing in the big game.

Task 3:
If there's one team that I want revenge on next season, it's absolutely Tijuana. They were a thorn in our side all season, culminating with a playoff loss to them in the SFC Championship Game.
This season, we only lose 5 times and 3 of those came against Tijuana. We played them 5 times as well, 3 on the road and 2 at home. We lost all 3 in Tijuana and won the 2 in Myrtle Beach. Home field was the only thing that separated us and it was frustrating not getting any breaks on the road. We were easily the two best teams in the DSFL, but had to go into Tijuana for the conference championship. It's the only hump we couldn't get over.
Next season, it's clear that Tijuana is our target. We have to work our tails off and be ready to play in their house. It's was the only thing stopping us from a Ultimini Championship and we're determined to not let that happen again. We have the team, the players, and the skill to beat them we've proved that already. We need to break this aura around their home stadium and not let it intimidate us. Next season, a new story will be written in this rivalry, and we will have our revenge.

Task 4:
I know the exact game I would re-sim if I had the change, week 10 against Tijuana. In that game, we lost 23-13, which ended up costing us home field advantage in the playoffs and losing again in Tijuana in the SFC Championship game.
Going into Week 10, we'd been neck and neck with Tijuana. We had played each other twice, with both teams winning at home. This was a huge game in deciding home field advantage. With it in Tijuana we knew we were in tough, but we came out firing. We went up 10-0, on the road and felt really good about our game. I don't know what happened, but the football gods decided to turn the luck around.
We were one drive away from going into half up 10-0, but a drive by Tijuana, coupled with 2 penalties against us, gave them the opportunity to get a touchdown at the end. Going into the third quarter, we were up 10-7 and then the shift really happened. Our first drive of the third quarter ended in a punt block and then a field goal by Tijuana. Our next drive ends in a fumble and Tijuana scoring a touchdown. 10-7 turns into 17-10 on two drives.
We exchange field goals to put the score at 20-13. We get the ball near the start of the 4th quarter and are driving down the field. We're picking apart their defense and driving down to tie the game. We get to their 6 yard line and throw an interception in the end zone that they return for 88 yards! That sets up another field goal and a 23-13 lead and eventual win.
This is absolutely the game I would re-sim. Something flipped in the sim to give Tijuana a huge advantage. I know home field is huge in the DSFL, but you don't really know until experiencing a game like this. Without that sudden switch, we win the game, get home field in the playoffs and are most likely playing in the Ultimini right now.
