Luke Skywalker is poised and ready for S22. Although he already a Performance of the Year award under his belt, Skywalker can’t help but feel greediness. He came in second for both Quarterback of the Year and Offensive Rookie of the Year, and while he knows the latter is but an unachievable dream in the DSFL, he hopes that this year he can finally nab that Quarterback of the Year award and raise it high over his head at the end of the season. The back half of S22 also showed a regression in Luke’s passing game; Skywalker felt as though his interception numbers were too high, and while part of that was due to playing against great defense linesmen, Luke knows that a lot of the interceptions were due to his own failures and lack of intelligence in the game. Skywalker has spent most of the offseason studying old tapes and going over the playbook, and feels more confident that, this year, he can play more cleanly, increase his passer rating, and play the best for his home team.
Luke also dreams that he and his team can win the Ultimini this season. Last season had the Norfolk Seawolves undergo a crushing loss in the first playoff game with a giant egg of a score, and the shame and embarrassment still burns a fuel inside of Skywalker. He feels as though he let his team down and wants to strive in S22 to bring home to Norfolk a trophy that his team and his city can share.
Let’s go Seawolves!
