My name is Von Hayes, and it's my first year in the big leagues, with all the other big boys. A 10th round pick, I shouldn't really even be here. But for now, I'm a starter and a key part of the offense. Draft night was rough, I was seeing mocks where I was going multiple rounds earlier than where I landed, but thats over now. I'm a starter, and I've got the support of my whole team and upper management. So instead of sulking on what happened in the past, I have to look ahead at tackling my biggest goal, becoming the best I can be, and winning. The Chicago Butchers are the only team excluding the new expansion teams that have not made an Ultimus game. The Butchers are in a rough patch, a franchise QB is retiring, and a lack of upcoming draft picks. But none of that matters, it will all fall onto the players and coaches, to be the best we can. It will definitely be a difficult and potentially long process, but my goal is to bring Chicago to the Ultimus. I know that making the Ultimus is challenging even for the best teams, but it will make it all the more satisfying when that day finally comes.
