As someone who was just recently drafted into the NSFL I already achieved my biggest goal in the off-season: make it into the league. But of course the journey and the work don‘t stop there. It‘s great that I made the Honolulu Hahalua roster right away but for my personal goals, I want to improve my role on the roster. Right now I‘m the third best wide receiver on the team so I need to work hard and improve so I can be better than Jacoby Clay and Jed Podolak. Not the easiest of tasks but I know I have what it takes to be a number one wide receiver in the league. I also have to work on getting better at actually catching the ball, I had way too many drops last year and that costs the team yards and as a result games. I don‘t want to be known as the Nelson Agholor of the NSFL.
As for team goals, I want to help the team play a good inaugural season, one we can all be proud of. Not a year you look back to in a couple of seasons and be like "Well, it was their first season, what did they expect?". I know it might be an ambitious goal but the DSFL team I played for last year, the Minnesota Grey Ducks, didn't make the playoffs. It would be really special if we made them with the Hahalua this year and a playoff win would be even better.
