It’s a brand new season and a first season for rookie quarterback Reginald Covington III. The ‘Gentleman’s QB’ comes with big expectations based on his lineage and playing style in college. He’s got some big goals to achieve this season and has the caliber of intelligence to back it up. As far as career bests, since it’s his first season, everything will set the tone for the rest of his DSFL (and possibly NSFL) career. There are 3 things that Reginald would like to achieve this season. The first would be to have the lowest interceptions of any quarterback in the DSFL. That’s a tall task since he will be competing against much more experienced quarterbacks with nearly every other team’s quarterback returning with full force. The second thing he’d like to accomplish is to finish his rookie season with a passer rating of greater than 80. Again, this will be tough for the rookie quarterback but doable if he can play smart and made good plays down the stretch. Last season, only Chika Fujiwara was able to accomplish this and Reginald hopes to follow in his fellow Coyotes’ footsteps. Finally, Reginald would like to finish the season strong and throw for 2000+ yards. This will probably be the most difficult since he isn’t known for his arm like other quarterbacks.
