Quenton Bode has been a gamer his entire life. When he was at Nebraska, he and roommate Mo Berry would stay up all night competing in Madden. He plays games with and against his teammates in New Orleans; Bode's fiancee is a gamer as well, and the two often play video games to figure out who decides where to eat for dinner. Bode is also a voracious reader. He brings books with him on every road trip, and he has been known to spend entire flights on the team plane without once looking up from his book.

Recently, however, Bode has decided that he needs a more productive hobby. He wants a way to pass the time, but also have something to show for it. So he's decided to take up crochet. Bode has always been amazed at some of the crochet creations he sees online; he figured that now would be as good a time as any to learn how to make them himself. It's not been easy: Bode is unusually large for his species, and crochet hooks are not made for bears in the first place. But he's approached it with the same drive he approaches football, and he's making steady progress as a result. He's made some small blankets and scarves, and although he's a long way from mastering those projects, he already has a goal in mind: making everyone on the Second Line roster a personalized hat to give to them at Christmas.
