Do they have any interesting hobbies or passions that they invest their time into? Are they in any athletic activities other than football? Do they sleep all day? What are they like off the field?
Troen spent a chunk of the offseason putting in time in the weight room an getting his playing weight up by nearly 30 pounds while also working on increasing strength via the weight room. But that's all football realted, of course. The somewhat unexpected side effect of gaining the weight and muscle was how much more Troen's been needing to eat and how that's led to learning a lot more meals to cook. Troen's historically been more of a grilled chicken steamed carrots of broccoli, and pasta with tomato sauce kind of dinner person. With the additional nutritional needs, though, he's discovered the wonders of baked, broiled, and melted cheese on top of or in food. Starting off first with just using an Alfredo sauce instead of tomato for the calories, he moved on to the point of having a baked brie appetizer, lasagna main course, and a cheddar and Stilton with apricot plate to wrap things up. This has naturally been figured out in association with team nutritionists and planned for with regards to how much weight lifting, swim training, and other exercise Troen's been planning on doing, but there's still a concern that as he moves from gaining weight to maintaining it that he might overshoot the mark a bit given his gusto for the expanded cuisine options. For now, though, Troen's been planning more and more elaborate cheese meals with a souffle and a flaming saganaki planned for this weekend.
