I would say that Bjørn Ironside ended up being one of the biggest busts in NSFL history purely due to his ineffectiveness on the field after being a part of one of the most loaded draft classes the league had ever seen. At the time of the draft, S18 hosted at least 40 active players full of promise and possibility and yet the New Orleans Second Line settled on Ironside at 1OA. There were decent to star players who loaded up the entire front end of that draft and the Second Line took a defensive tackle who arguably was invisible on the field his entire DSFL history. After selecting him, they elected to call him up immediately due to the team being a bit weak on talent at the time. He rewarded them with a mediocre season that saw guys drafted 50 picks after him performing better. He followed this up in S19 with a similarly slow season and then finally showed a glimpse of his potential in S20. Despite having an actual impact season, the team fell short in the playoffs and proved that even when Ironside was playing somewhat well, he didn't really make a difference. Then finally in S21 after another disappointing showing, Ironside announced his retirement. First overall to retired in just four short seasons. That is about as big of a bust as you can get.
