I don’t know how you don’t go with Rickey Ramero. He had it all going for him before getting drafted first overall. He won an Ultimini in San Antonio in S6, made the Pro Bowl and went first overall in the S8 draft to the Colorado Yeti. Sure he did well his first couple of seasons, but by the time he won back-to-back two Ultimus rings, he was a bot. Ramero got the Weekend at Bernies treatment in Orange County. He probably wasn’t even checked in enough to realize they had won. I guess at least we have closure, Ramero had an official retirement. I don’t feel too badly for him, though. People liked him, he didn’t run himself out of town with jackassery, he’s a champion in both leagues and he made a butt-ton of money he probably didn’t know he had. Every professional sport needs its bust, and Rickey Ramero is the finest example for the NSFL. Three years after his retirement, he actually made the Hall of Fame ballot. I don’t know if that was a joke or if the league actually thought he was legitimately worthy of being on the ballot. Of course, he got zero votes so we can all sleep soundly. I did hear he’s got some kids kicking around on the football field, but will the NSFL even bother?
