Since I haven't been around for a while I'm going to talk about a very old draft when talking about busts here. J. J. Reigns was the first ever draft pick in the NSFL. Selected 1st overall in the inaugural season of the NSFL J. J. went to the Orange County Otters. Shaka, the user behind Reigns was a seasoned sim league vet, and a big football fan. It seemed like a surefire pick and he was interested in helping manage the team, but after about a month he lost interest and it wasn't much longer before he was inactive. Reigns played for 3 seasons, posting fairly mediocre numbers before no one was really interested in signing him and he ended up being retired. The Otters managed to have some really good seasons early on despite this blunder at 1st overall, they drafted some pro bowl level players late in the draft that made up for that mistake and with some great management they were able to turn things into winning seasons for a long while. Even getting 3 ultimus trophies in a row from S4 to S6. Reigns definitely didn't help the cause but at least they were able to get through it and still be a great team.
