Written Option: In 200 words, make your case for the worst draft pick of all time. How did this draft pick set the franchise back? What other effects did the pick have? Were there much better options further down the draft? You cannot discuss draft classes still on their rookie contracts, so it must be the Season 19 NSFL Draft or earlier to receive credit.
San Jose amongst the many retarded things they've done in the franchises history decided to draft Iyah Blewitt like 4th overall in the NSFL Draft. Ignoring the fact that literally every single person in the league at that time knew that not only do kickers and punters suck balls, but whatever he/she earns TPE wise is not reflected in their output in our potato sim. Regardless of this, they set their franchise back who fucking knows how many years because they were dogshit untill they finally won a championship in S13? S14? one of those years. Imagine if they didn't pick literally the most useless position at 4th OA and instead picked somebody who might've actually been responsible for aiding their win percentages sim by sim.
Beyond this , the standard for this PT have been either Sweet James Jones, their own player and I've seen a fair few Ryan Lefevre along with the odd JJ Reigns pick. You could really finish this PT just by going through and naming 95% of the Colorado Yeti's picks, even dating as recently back as S16. The hyperfocus on picking first gens more often than not does not work out, especially when the one in question has had his multitude of issues in other sim leagues joined at the hip to ours here.
