Breaking news: Clay Stallworth has signed an endorsement deal with Kodiak Cakes. The protein-packed pancake and waffle maker has sought to sign the rookie since he set two DSFL pancake records last year. Some details of the deal include a $1 million dollar signing bonus as well as $30,000 per commercial shot and $1,000 per airing of any commercial using Stallworth’s likeness. Rumors of the content of these commercials have begun to circulate. The most popular (or at least repeated) rumor is that Stallworth will be working as a chef in these commercials, making pancakes with the opposing teams’ logos or players. The other rumor is that the commercials shall feature in-game footage of Stallworth pancaking defenders, but when the defender is shown after Stallworth’s block, he shall be an actual pancake. Regardless, Many Sarasota and Kodiak pancake fans will be eager to see what clever ideas come from these commercials. When asked for a statement, Stallworth stated that he hopes to start his own cookware line with the company as well, assuming his dominance continues. At the time of writing this piece, Stallworth has 34 pancakes and 2 sacks allowed, good enough for second of all rookies and a tie for 13th overall.
