Eldrick Avery has not had a whole lot of luck with endorsements in his career. However he recently just landed his biggest deal yet. Natrel Butter recently added Avery on as their new product spokesman. When Natrel approached Avery with this deal, it was a very easy decision for Avery, as butter is a perfect match for him. After setting the American High School record for the most drops ever in a season, Avery has been called butter fingers more than just once or twice. After switching positions from wide receiver to cornerback, Avery thought that the butter fingers nickname was a thing of the past. However, Avery went on the set the record for the most consecutive games without an interception for a cornerback, at 35 straight games. So butter fingers was clearly back, and what better way to deal with it, then to at least make some money from it. Avery has starred in a series of commercials where he repeatedly drops footballs because his hands are too buttery. While the commercials didn't turn out to be particularly funny, it's not Avery's problem, as he's already signed a 5 year deal with Natrel worth 20 million dollars. And on top of that, Avery can make an extra million dollars for every season he goes without an interception during the course of the contract. Avery unfortunately got an interception in the first game of the season, so while he won't be collecting that million dollar bonus this season, you can be sure that he will be gunning for it next season.
