As a kid, Halloween was always one of Eldrick Avery's favourite holdays. Although he was actually never a huge fan of wearing costumes, it was definitely worth it for all of the free candy he got each year. Eldrick absolutely loved (and still loves) chocolate, candy, and chips of all kinds. And that alone was pretty much the only reason that Avery loved Halloween so much. His family never really made a big deal of it, and didn't even decorate their house or anything. Because of this, Eldrick has never so much a carved a pumpkin before. He also followed in his parents footsteps by not decorating his house after he left home. He has however continued his tradition of eating lots of candy. While he hasn't trick or treated for a couple years now, he always makes sure to buy a few extra bags of candies and chocolates just for himself. He even went so far as to get himself in trouble on the football field back in his college days. In addition to all the candy he bought before Halloween, Eldrick also went and bought a bunch more bags of the stuff the day after once it was on sale. He ended up gaining nearly 15 pounds and his play on the field suffered because of it. His coaches were pissed, and Eldrick was embarrassed. Since then he has made a strict rule to limit himself to just 3 large bags of candy each year during Halloween season.
