The red flag was that it seems like you're putting yourself in a high position without taking into account the player's opinions. I know you said it's just for the beginning and afterwards the members would have the power to vote you out if they want, but I do think that it sets a bad precedent.
Also the fact that this doesn't seem to be structured the same as IRL PAs makes me a little cautious...PAs typically also have an elected representative from each team. A core group of 3 executives seems too small to be an accurate representation of all the members (if that's indeed what the goal is...a small leadership group where one of them is self-appointed seems a bit like a power grab tbh)
I would still like to be a member, but I'll need to see how seriously you / the presidents take getting players and members involved in the discussion, especially if you go ahead and set the precedent of establishing yourself as CEO without taking anybody else's views into account.
Hopefully that makes sense, and I appreciate you asking for feedback. Right now I think this is a 10/10 idea with a 5/10 execution, but I'm open to having my mind changed
I completely see where you are coming from, and I agree with most of it.
However, i'd like to direct you to this part of my initial post
Quote:
- In our players association we will need to keep track of every athlete that decides to become a part of our association.
- We will have Bi-weekly public/open meetings where we will bring to the table all the complaints/issues/recommendations that players have had. (This includes all ideas brought up in the suggestion box) Executives will then talk about what they believe are the pros/cons of each idea are, and afterwards, we will open the floor to PA members and allow them to also discuss how they feel about each idea.
- The executives will keep track of all these ideas, and will assign them 1 of 4 "Stages" based on how the members feel about it:
This is our only role as executives. We dont form a single opinion, idea, or change a single opinion or idea. Our only goal is to make the platform available. We will talk about what is going to be discussed at that meeting then open it up completely to all members. We are all the decision makers. If I didn't get that across, I am sorry, but it's what I meant. There is no small inner group or anything. We just run the proceedings and make sure that the platform is actually given attention. We are also tasked with just keeping our records together and making sure that all of our information is available to everybody. That's all. I hope you can understand a bit more clearly. If not, please continue with the feedback.
Thank you!
Oh and thank you for being level-headed and actually reading what i'm saying and have genuine questions/concerns. It's nice.
Edit: Here @Jiggly_333 @DrunkenTeddy, read this, and if it still doesn't make sense, just leave this thread because I dont think I can appeal to you. You both claim that I want some type of power, that's not the case and you are not reading what I am saying. Thank you.
