As someone well known for making podcasts badly I can assure you that it's actually not that easy. You can blow through 1k in spoken words in less than 10 minutes and it's very difficult to go super in depth on topics without also doing a ton of prep work.
Shooting from the hip also runs the very real risk of both forgetting and mixing up details on whatever topic you discuss.
And if you work with another person, you can supereasily run into the opposite problem. You can hit an hour real fast in a back and forth conversation and lose out on content.
