Bold Prediction: RFFO realizes he fucked up and holds a fire sale by the trade deadline.
In fact, this may not be all that bold, considering I feel it has already begun. Just last night the Legion acquired two picks in exchange for capable veteran cornerback Matthew Peterson. The SaberCats needed a #2 guy alongside John Canton so this move makes sense.
The Legion, while not fielding a solid team Week to Week are not devoid of assets. In fact there's a few other names who could probably be moved by the deadline. Mark Ramiro is probably the top target for teams considering he is the highest TPE defensive tackle in the league. Teams looking for a kicker could make a move for Iyah Blewitt, as the Legion likely won't be taking a kicker in the draft next season, as many more needs have to be addressed.
The original plan from RFFO was to put a good team out from day 1 but the growth of many of these players has remained stagnant, and with many, nonexistent. The Liberty are poised to surpass them by the end of the season if they haven't already, and the Legion need to assess what they can do moving forward. I think they unload vets and high quality lease players in order to gain a wealth of picks and essentially start over.
