Thanks for the question, I think that's a fairly obvious one especially with how I emphasize my background frequently to friends of mine around the league. I'd absolutely be a professional wrestler right now if I wasn't playing football. In high school, I played both sports and was a varsity athlete in both during my freshman and sophomore years. It was entering my Junior year that I decided that I needed to make a decision on which I would play and pursue a professional career in. It was an incredibly tough decision as I loved both sports with all of my heart. My teammates which I would practice with, the couches who I had the honor of learning from, and the games and competitions that I loved so much, it would be hard to part with any of them. This is a bit less well known, but my father was a UFC fighter back in his prime. I talked with him probably every day that summer between sophomore and junior year trying to come up with a decision. He obviously argued more and tried to push me a bit to go the path of wrestling, but he was never forceful or demanding. He understood well that this decision would affect my entire future, so he wanted me to be the one to make it, and to also understand its importance. He told me, "Son, you can make it big in whatever you do, and I know that because you have heart, you have so much passion for both of these sports, whatever you decide to do, I'll be there every step of the way supporting you." With my father's support, I continued to talk with friends and family to help me in my decision. When it came down to it, I chose football because of the trust and friendships you develop out on the field with your teammates. Teamwork is vital to the success of your team, and the interactions and support and feelings you have are something you can't find in any other sport. But, I guess to answer your original question, if I hadn't chose football, I would have continued to pursue wrestling and I truly believe I could've gone pro there as well.
