If Tugg Speedman wasn't a wide receiver for the New York Silverbacks in the International Simulation Football League, I would imagine he would be playing baseball in the Pro Baseball Experience. Tugg was a very good baseball player who was a really great defender and could absolute hit the cover off a baseball. He wasn't a half-bad pitcher either! Tugg had the option of going directly to the minor leagues as a top draft choice or he could play football in college and work his way towards the ISFL. The ultimate deciding factor was Tugg wanted to at least go to school to earn credits towards his future as a broadcaster in sports while also tearing it up on the football field at Texas Christian University. So yeah, the ultimate factor was being able to master his craft at wide receiver all the while working on having a career once his professional sports career ended since there are so many horror stories of athletes not knowing what they want to do once they retire. Going back to the baseball ability, Tugg ended up falling towards the fourth or fifth round in the draft and the signing bonus was not enough for him to risk his college eligibility so he that also played a part.
