Jayce Tuck is not a superstitious man. You will not find a bible, a Buddha, a crucifix, a rabbit’s foot, a shiny penny, or a rosary in his locker. What you fill find are some blackout glasses and the best head phones money can buy…not Beats. Tuck then has the equipment manager set the bed they bring for him to every away game up in one of the treatment room and Tuck gets some sleep in. While other guys are off stressing out about the game, eating their food in threes, reading fairy tales, or stuffing their face with mom’s homemade bbq chicken, or whatever superstitious stuff they do Tuck is getting a few hours of extra rest that helps him compete at the highest level. The life of a NSFL athlete can be hectic and during the season time is short, so a few extra hours of sleep on Sunday before a big game can go a long way. Tuck is confident this practice has helped him out-play others on the field throughout his career in both college and the NSFL and it is hard to argue with the results. So you heard it here first rookies, take a nap before the game and you’ll perform. Oh yeah, Tuck also makes sure to take a bump or 20 of cocaine after he wakes up to stay alert. So, definitely do that too, but it’s the naps that make the difference.
