29 games have passed. Even more if you count pre season and the pro bowls but I have yet to shake the nerves I get before a game. Maybe thats my good luck charm? The churning in my stomach, and sweaty palms, the anxiety, the looking forward to landing that first shot on an Olinmen or the shot back to shake the jitters. I spend most of the hour before the game in the locker room stretching and pacing and, the fist time folks see this they think somethings wrong. In a sense I believe they think i'm a bit shook and, they aren't wrong. I put an immense amount of pressure on myself to succeed every time I touch the field. The pressure is what keeps me going, its my drive. Maybe in a sense its partly a superstitious. I guess if I wanted to I could try to block out the negativity but I feel like it keeps me sharp. Remembering my failures and reminding myself how easy it is to fall in the same way tends to be a real quick kick in the ass. For some people it makes them play worse but, thats what motivates me. Oh I also make sure to leave at least one bite of food left of whatever I eat last as an offering to the gods.
